N.C. Cooperative Extension offers Safe Plates for Food Managers for all those who work in the foodservice industry. The course helps food establishments meet the North Carolina requirement of having at least one supervisor certified as a food protection manager, per the FDA Food Code 2017.
When is the Next Course Offered?
Due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines, NC State University's Food Safety Team has advised agents not to offer Safe Plates for Food Protection Managers in-person during this time. There is a self-pace online option currently being offered. Participants may register, learn, and study on their own. Certification exams must be proctored at an approved location.
