Record Book Workshop 2012

— Written By NC Cooperative Extension

4-H Record Books teach important skills for youth development such as responsibility, punctuality, thoroughness, and goal-setting. These record books can be completed on a variety of topics such as animal science, science and technology, or communication arts.

Each participant in the Hertford-Northampton 4-H Livestock Show and Sale is required to create a 4-H Record Book for their animal project. This teaches the students to set goals for their experience, keep track of feed and medications, and showcase their hard work.

Completing a record book comes with great rewards: recognition, scholarships, cash, and/or savings bonds!

For more information about creating a project record book on the topic of your choice, please contact the Extension 4-H staff at (252) 534-2711.
